In this guide you’ll see how to practically register for the post UTME on your own.
The university has commerce sale of its post UTME form on August 19 2024, the form will be on sale till September 30. With the examination/aptitude test set to starts on September 25.
For the Direct entry Candidates the registration continues till further notice..
The post UTME registration will cost you not less than 4,000# at the Cafe. Using this guide you can save cost by doing the Registration yourself.
How to Register for ABU post UTME.
One thing I always tell candidates is to kindly read the bulletin before they proceed to start the registration. the bulletin contain all the necessary information you’ll need.
Below is how to register for the ABU post UTME.
- Start by visiting the ABU Post UTME portal: https://portal.abu.edu.ng/forms.
- You’ll see a red button with the caption(post UTME login)
- Click on the post UTME login button you’ll be redirected to a page you’ll see enter your JAMB registration number, enter and select your state. The state is the one you use in your JAMB registration! That’s also your password for login in to the portal
Important Note: Only candidates who choose ABU as first choice will be able to register for the post UTME.
After following the steps above you’ll find yourself in the ABU post UTME registration portal.
Once in the portal, click the 3 line ( navigation button) you’ll see the info below

Profile
Buy forms
Notifications.
Click on profile to upload all the necessary information there. Like biodata, contact, picture, Olevel and A level for DE candidates.
Once you are done in puting your details click on buy forms.
Pay attention: this area is very critical!
Just below my form you’ll see that particular course you apply. Click on it. *Don’t go into that search form area!
Once you click the course you apply, you’ll see the payment option. Proceed to make your payment!
Once successfully you’ll be able to print your completed form.
Things To Note About the ABU POST UTME
Here are some important points to note about the ABU post UTME registration and admission process.
- The post UTME registration is for both DE and UTME candidates.
- JAMB/UTME candidates will have to sit for the post UTME examination. While for D.E candidates will just register and wait for admission.
- The Registration for D.E students will continue till future notice, Meaning the Registration won’t end on 30 September like in the case of JAMB/UTME Candidates.
Important Notice for UTME candidates sitting for the ABU Post UTME exams
1. In the previous years schedule slip is made available a few days before the start exam. But in the absence of a scheduled sleep. You can go to any of the 3 major CBT centres within ABU( Iya Abubakar, CBT center, and DLC). But in case the scheduling slip is made available, you’ll find it on your post UTME portal. Make sure to always check your post UTME portal.
2. Know when the POST UTME exam date for your course is supposed to hold. If you don’t know which Faculty your course belongs to kindly make sure you ask questions. If you go to the exam a date different from the one assigned to your course/faculty. You won’t be able to login!
3. Time! Time is very important the exam usually starts from 8am prompt to 2 or 3 I can’t remember the exact stoppage time. But make sure you are at any of the CBT centers before 2 or 3pm… in a nutshell the earlier the better! For those going to CBT center situated beside the gym the school normally makes provision of busses that’ll convey you to the center, if you want to follow the bus make sure you are in school early 6 am to 7am ideally
4. It’s not uncommon to get lost if it’s your first time in ABU. Feel free to ask anybody including the securities questions if needs be.
5. If you have any sort of problem, maybe with login, or your system, raise your hands and call the attention of the invigilators. There are also IT officials to help you in case you encounter some technical issues..
6. Documents you need for the post UTME are clearly outline on the bulletin the POST UTME Registration slip, Your JAMB Result slip. Or JAMB registration slip, they accept any of it as of last year.
7. Whatever or wherever you are using as accommodation remember the country hard. be careful how you keep your gadgets.
8. Lastly trust your preparation and don’t allow fear to becloud you, as long as you study well the post UTME won’t be a big deal.
